Membership
Why become a member?
1. Hebrews 10:25, We are commanded to "not neglect to meet together." Galatians 6:2 says we are to "bear one another's burdens." Membership shows members who has committed to the local body of Christ and whose burdens they primarily should bear.
2. Hebrews 13:17 says that pastors are to keep watch over [our] souls as those who will give an account. Membership allows a Pastor to know whose souls he is to give an account for (see also 1 Peter 5:2-4).
3. Hebrews 13:17, We as Christians are commanded, by Scripture, to obey and submit ourselves to our leaders in the Church. Matthew 18:15-17 and 1 Timothy 5:19 describe authorities in the Church to exercise discipline for those who are unrepentant.
